Recently, Calkins led the following efforts: introduced HD EST whereas most studios focused on selling SD but renting HD; lowered price to buy digital content relative to the rental price; introduced mobile and social applications to increase opportunities for consumers to discover and conveniently transact with SPHE content; spearheaded the introduction of enhanced extra features on select digital movie purchases, enabling movie fans to engage with SPHE’s content in innovative, interactive ways; partnered with VUDU to launch the first ever digital movie card at Walmart Stores with "Battle LA”. LOVEFiLM has been innovating on behalf of movie rental customers across Europe for many years. Earlier this year, Simon led LOVEFiLM to a successful exit with its acquisition by internet giant Amazon.
