The Employment Committee
presents the third in our legal series, "Starting Your Own Production
Company.” Developing a career as a freelance producer is challenging
enough, taking the next step to form your own company can seem even
more daunting. But it doesn’t have to be.
Whether you’re forming a
company for freelance work, a movie or setting up shop for a
multi-series deal there are a number of issues you’ll need to address.
Loan out vs. Production Company? Corp, LLC or Partnership? How you answer these questions will affect your taxable income, your liability and your relationship with your employees. Even if you’re the only employee!
This forum will cover:
• Trademark & Copyright issues
