The game has changed. YouTube has prompted the creation of a whole new medium for content creation and content promotion. No media buy. No distribution fee. Free international exposure. Viral videos have the power to create stars, boost box office grosses, get sponsorship, even pilot content for TV. According to our event’s host, you might think of them as very short films with extremely long legs.

PGA East member James Percelay is co-founder of Thinkmodo, a New York City viral video marketing agency whose unusual videos are often the topic of TV news coverage. With more than 10,000,000 online views, Thinkmodo’s "Flying People in NY” viral video for 20th Century Fox’s Chronicle was the movie’s only promotional campaign (aside from trailers). The viral video has been credited for the movie’s top spot in the box office opening, and for adding millions to its projected opening gross. The company has also created successful viral videos for the movies Limitless and In Time, as well as for Cosmopolitan magazine and multiple consumer brands.

James will deconstruct a viral video, identify elements that make it go "viral,” and show how to profit from the process. Showcasing some of Thinkmodo's videos, along with case studies, James will discuss these and other topics including:

• Creating a viral video
• The "seeding” process
• Getting noticed
• Sponsorship opportunities
• Audience engagement
• Unique viral video shooting techniques
• Viral do’s and don’ts
• Going global with a viral video

This is not an event to be missed!
