Less than a month ago, Discovery Communications premiered its latest channel, DESTINATION AMERICA, celebrating the people, places and stories of the United States, emblazoned with the grit and tenacity, honesty and work ethic, humor and adventurousness that characterize our nation. The inclusive network, targeting Adults 25-54, is available in 59.5 million homes. In this members-only event, find out first-hand what DESTINATION AMERICA executives are currently programming, what concepts they’re looking for and where they envision the channel's niche within the crowded media universe.

PANELISTS:

Marc Etkind
Marc Etkind, Senior Vice President of Content Strategy at Discovery Communications, is the senior leader for the brand, with primary responsibility for developing new content and business strategies. Etkind joined Discovery in 2007 as VP, Development for Animal Planet, where he was responsible for the conceptualization and creation of series and stunts that helped move the network from a niche animal channel to a bold new entertainment destination. With hits including Call of the Wildman, Finding Bigfoot, Infested!, Confessions: Animal Hoarding and Pitbulls and Parolees. Prior to Discovery, he served as Senior Director of Historical Programming at History Channel, working on original series including Dogfights, Superhumans, Tougher in Alaska and Gangland.

Caroline Perez
Caroline Perez is the Head of Development for Destination America, and responsible for identifying creative concepts, innovative formats and new talent that will appeal to the channel’s audience. Perez joined Discovery in 2009 as Director of Production for TLC, where she oversaw creative and production of several hit series including Four Weddings,Extreme Couponing and DC Cupcakes. Prior to Discovery, Perez served as Director of Development & Production at VH1, executive producing original series for the channel, including multiple seasons of Celebrity Fit Club and World Series of Pop Culture. Previously, she held several roles at NBC, both in New York and Burbank.

MODERATOR:
Jim Arnoff
Jim Arnoff is a television/web packaging agent representing New York-based production companies in developing and selling original programming to the networks. He is also an entertainment lawyer and Certified Life/Career Coach to the entertainment industry. Prior to creating his own company, Jim Arnoff was a television packaging agent at William Morris.
