If you are a producer working in television then you are only too aware that the content landscape has substantially changed. You would like to produce in other areas and you know that your skills are transferable but you’re not sure where to start.
The Crossover Producing panel explores available options and transferable skills. Top leaders in advertising, publishing and other media outlets will discuss the content and media they produce and share their insight as to the producing skills needed for that work. And also the kinds of producers they like to hire!
Kea Kelly Alcock
Kea’s work encompasses broadcast, digital, upfront, animation & GFX, VFX, commercial, promo and feature. She currently produces at Viacom (MTV) and has managed digital accounts such as Microsoft at E*Trade. Kea worked on ad sales, design and promos for a variety of networks including A&E, USA, Biography and Nickelodeon and was the supervising PM for the 3D feature Little Spirit: Christmas in New York at Curious Pictures. Kea also produced the 13-hour-long DVDs for Hooked on Phonics, the integrated Nike Women campaign, the Ritz web series and destination site for Time Inc., and 1st season of the Prix Jeunesse nominee The Wild Life, an animated children’s educational series.

As an event manager at Google, Cari is responsible for shaping, planning and executing some of Google's highest profile events in North America. She works closely with the Business-to-Business Marketing team to manage strategic programs, find creative solutions to projects and help connect users and clients to Google's products and technologies. This happens by overseeing all aspects of event management and production including content and program development, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, talent booking, and more.
Vice President, Exec. In Charge of Production Sesame Learning at Sesame Workshop
Prior to Erica’s current position as a Digital Media Executive at Sesame Workshop, she worked at Viacom as EP of TV Land Digital and at Nickelodeon Online. Erica led the first successful TV/web convergent effort with Dora the Explorer. Erica has won two Interactive Emmy Awards: Best Children’s Website with The Electric Company and Best Interactive TV application with the TV Land Awards. Before this, Erica spent several years in TV. She created and produced a children’s TV show for BET called "Storyporch". She also worked for CBS-NEWS on the show 48 HOURS and at NBC on various local and network specials.
Todd Scheifele - New Panelist
VP Producer, Grey Worldwide
In his nearly 15 years of production at Grey Worldwide, Todd Scheifele has produced all forms of advertising for such clients as P&G, Darden, MLB, Panasonic, E*Trade, J.M. Smucker Co, Hasbro and Turner Broadcasting to name a few. With the face of advertising constantly evolving, Todd has been able to lend a hand beyond Production into other departments involving creative content development and post production. A few career highlights for Todd include digitally turning Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu into a one foot tall Groundhog and having Director Kevin Smith tackled by a Caveman.
Executive Director of Video Content and Development at Rodale
Michelle successfully launched and created content for two premium YouTube video channels in the categories of Fitness & Food, in partnership with Berman Braun. She developed creative and directed content for 26 video series’. Michelle also worked with the Ad Sales, and Custom Content teams to create and implement video strategies for Nissan, RunDisney and Panera. Additionally she assisted Fitbie, the highly successful MSN health and wellness site, create video strategies.
Senior Director, A&E Digital (aetv.com)
Laurie oversees the creative and operational development and management of aetv.com, working closely with our Programming and Marketing groups to align creative goals and editorial content. Her team creates and maintains sites for all of our on-air shows, as well as games and community. Laurie is directly responsible for editorial direction, budget, staff, traffic, strategy, working with Ad Sales on pitches and sponsor executions, and anything else that comes up along the way.
