Join us for a very special PGA weekend retreat with Dara Marks, Hollywood’s leading script consultant and author of the acclaimed new book, Inside Story: The Power of the Transformational Arc.
The retreat begins with a daylong writing seminar on Saturday, April 5 that will enhance your writing abilities regardless of your level of experience as Dara takes you Inside Story.
Dara Marks’ method, Inside Story, may be the most important advancement in writing theory to come along in years. Her innovative technique for developing and structuring a story is designed to keep writers focused on the heart and soul of their work so that plot, character, and theme create a unified whole. The inter-relationship of these key story elements forms the basis of the transformational arc of character.
Dara will round out the retreat on Sunday, April 6 with the Art of Script Analysis. This session will improve your ability to break down a script and give more effective story notes.
Utilizing the dynamics of the transformational arc, the course will give you powerful new tools to help navigate the many layers of story structure and locate script issues at their source. This takes the guesswork out of identifying story problems and, therefore, strengthens your ability to communicate with writers at a deeper, more insightful level, which will help them fulfill their creative vision.
