The PGA Women’s Impact Network is thrilled to continue our Salon Series with an in-depth look at pitching and packaging of films and the role foreign sales plays in financing films. We are pleased to have Tara Erer, SVP Sales FilmNation and producer Anna Gerb join us. They have worked together on ALL IS LOST and A MOST VIOLENT YEAR and will give us an insider's view on foreign sales and the role it plays in putting together a feature film.
In the spirit of keeping the Salon Series intimate and conversational, we are limiting the RSVP’s to 30 people. Please only RSVP if you can absolutely attend.
Tara Erer, Senior Vice President, Sales, FilmNation Entertainment
Tara Erer is the head of sales at FilmNation Entertainment, a leading independent foreign sales and production company. Erer manages all aspects of communication with filmmakers and plays a leading role in the overall acquisition, analysis and selection of projects. Erer led worldwide sales on numerous groundbreaking artistic and financial successes in recent years including: Benedict Cumberbatch starrer THE IMITATION GAME; Terrence Malick's KNIGHT OF CUPS starring Christian Bale and Natalie Portman; and Academy Award Best Picture winner THE KING'S SPEECH, among many others. She led sales on two major FilmNation productions which begin shooting in June 2015 including: THE FOUNDER starring Michael Keaton; and STORY OF YOUR LIFE starring Amy Adams. An Istanbul native, Erer graduated from Columbia University. She previously worked in international sales for The Weinstein Company.
Anna Gerb, Producer of A MOST VIOLENT YEAR and ALL IS LOST
Anna Gerb produced J.C. Chandor’s third feature film A MOST VIOLENT YEAR, starring Oscar Isaac & Jessica Chastain which was nominated for a Golden Globe and three Independent Spirit Awards. She also produced J.C.’s second feature film ALL IS LOST and co-produced his first film MARGIN CALL. Both were nominated for Academy Awards and ALL IS LOST was nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards including Gerb for “Best Picture”. She Executive Produced the film FRANCINE starring Academy-Award winner Melissa Leo. In her native Canada, she produced BLOOD, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and James Hyslop’s documentary ME, MYSELF, AND THE DEVIL for CBC. Next up is J.C. Chandor’s 4th film, Sebastian Silva's CAPTAIN DAD, Maryam Keshavarz’ UNTITLED OLIVER DIAZ STORY and Liza Johnson’s WHAT HAPPENED TO ANNA. Anna is a member of the PGA, New York Production Alliance and New York Women in Film & Television where she served for 6 years as VP/Board of Directors.
