In this moderator-led discussion, Mr. Gibney will discuss the biggest challenges he has faced in his major films, and how he managed to address, manage or circumvent these issues, and in some cases, thrive in spite of them. This one-hour discussion will be followed by 30-minutes of audience questions for the director.
Director Alex Gibney has been called “one of the pre-eminent filmmakers in America.” The director has won the Academy Award, the Emmy, the Grammy, the Peabody, the DuPont-Columbia, the Independent Spirit, and the Writers Guild of America Award, to name a few.
Mark Marabella is an Emmy-nominated executive producer with 20 years of experience developing, writing, producing, and directing over 200 hours of sit-coms, live-to-tape concerts, talk shows, documentary specials and non-fiction series. He currently serves as a National Delegate on the PGA'S Producers Council, and formerly served as Vice Chair of the PGA East, as well as Chair of its Documentary Committee.
