4K is on the horizon. And all indications are that it won't be as easy to move from HD to UltraHD. Compounding the shift is the plethora of new all-digital mediums and viewing platforms, with new expectations about how that content should be delivered and personalized.

• Josh Derby - VP, Technology Development & Strategy; Discovery Communications, LLC
Josh has served as a technologist and operational manager at Discovery since 1999. He currently leads Discovery's internal R&D team, Discovery Technology Development & Strategy. His team is currently focused on finding solutions for UHD production and post, file based delivery, virtual reality, and many other technologies that will impact the media industry in the coming months and years. Before joining Discovery Josh worked at WHD-TV, the Model High Definition Television Station, serving as a member of the station's research team.
• Mike Peters - President, MVP Pictureworks
Mike Peters is a veteran director of photography and president of MVP Pictureworks, Inc. His work has taken him around the globe and given him the opportunity to film in every format imaginable. Mike will share his experience and advice as to how to maximize the power of 4K as a DP and an editor.
• Randy Bernhardt - President, PostOp Inc.
Randy Bernhardt has spent nearly four decades in the broadcast television industry, 30 of which were spent as an online/offline editor. In 1997 he opened PostOp, a full service post production facility, providing excellence in editing, sound design and 2D/3D graphics services, and specializing in long-form and commercial work for national broadcast. Randy has worked extensively with 4K since 2008.
• Greg Siers - Director of Live Productions & Technology, Discovery Communications
Greg is an Emmy-winning producer/director who specializes in live broadcast and digital production. He has over 20 years broadcast television experience. Formerly with Martha Stewart Living, IMG Creative and Vitec Broadcast Services, Greg is currently Director of Live Production & Technology for Discovery Communications. Greg is also a technical feature columnist for P3/Production Update.
