VR On the Lot
STUDIO PREMIERES - THEATRICAL & BRAND CASE STUDIES - STUDIO EXHIBITIONS - CONSUMER RESEARCH - HANDS-ON DEMONSTRATIONS

VR Society presents ‘VR On the Lot,’ a two-day conference happening October 13th and 14th at Paramount Pictures Studios. The focus of the conference is on Virtual Reality content, production, distribution and technology, which includes panels and in-depth case studies produced by the PGA. There are two tracks: Track 1 in the Paramount Main Theater and Track 2 in the Sherry Lansing Theater. Track 1 includes short presentations and announcements by Hollywood studios and VR technology leaders, among others, and provides a generalized understanding of where the VR industry is today and where it looks to be going. Track 2, which is PGA-produced, is the meeting place for both experienced VR and 360 content creators, as well as those looking to learn from the pros, on topics that cover the areas of Pre-Production, Production, Post Production, and Distribution. Case studies here include those on two VR Series, ‘Halcyon’ and ‘Gone,’ and one on VR Animation, the 2016 Emmy-winning ‘Henry.’ There are deeper looks into the VR live experiences of news, music and sports, as well VR documentary and journalism and location-based experiences.
