"Fiscal Sponsorship and Funding”
Is fiscal sponsorship right for you? During this one-hour presentation, Amy Halpin, Program Director for Fiscal Sponsorship and Grants at the International Documentary Association will discuss the fiscal sponsorship arrangement under which a documentary project might benefit from the tax-exempt status and administrative support of a sponsoring organization. Whether you are just getting started or entering the home stretch on an independent documentary, this one hour seminar will have something to offer. She'll cover the basics such as:
•The pros and cons of fiscal sponsorship
•What to look for in a sponsoring organization
•What types of nonprofit funding is out there and how do you get it it.
•Engaging your core audience for fundraising success
•Intro to crowdfunding
•Finding and getting grants
•Funding for distribution, engagement and outreach campaigns
•Fiscal sponsorship case studies
