New Line Cinema, along with most of Hollywood, has experienced plenty of struggle so far at the box office in 2013.  A couple of lower budget films, however, have generated some unsuspecting successes.  Brent Lang of The Wrap spoke with New Line COO Toby Emmerich about the 2013's failures and successes and the differences between them.

"After a summer riddled with pricey flops, New Line’s more fiscally conservative approach could begin to find favor in an industry. [Toby] Emmerich doesn’t think that that Hollywood will turn its back on tentpole films. But he acknowledged that this summer’s flops may prompt some to take a hard look at their business models."
