Foundation, to the speaker line-up for the second annual Produced By Conference,

Co-Chairs Gale Anne Hurd and Rachel Klein. Turner’s vision and generosity
have consistently given the world reason to take notice and this rare
conversation will tap into his business acumen, as well as his altruistic
philosophies, as he shares his insights on ways to involve the creative
community in important social and cultural causes. Turner’s conference session
is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 5th at 11:30AM PST.
Participants are encouraged to register online today at www.producedbyconference.com
before this and other extraordinary panel sessions sell out!
"The Guild is privileged to have Ted Turner take part in
the Produced By Conference this year. He is truly a media visionary and his
amazing entrepreneurial spirit is an attribute that all producers strive for
each and every day,” said PGA President Marshall Herskovitz. "He’s
singlehandedly changed the face of the media landscape as we know it but more
importantly, he’s extraordinarily dedicated to helping others around the world.
I’m confident that the producing community will be inspired by both his work
and heart.”
In addition to founding CNN, TNT and the Cartoon Network,
Turner established the United Nations Foundation in 1998. The Foundation works
to broaden support for the UN through advocacy, public outreach and
public/private partnerships that help address the world's most pressing
problems. Last year the Foundation entered into a partnership with the United
Nations called the UN Creative Community Outreach Initiative in order to
achieve the goals of peace and raising awareness of critical global issues
through entertainment.
The UN Foundation is also partnering with the PGA to
sponsor a conference workshop entitled the "Power of the Producer to Affect
Social Change.” The workshop, being held Saturday, June 5th at 1:45
PM, will highlight some of the lifesaving work the UN is doing and ways
producers can help shine a spotlight on the world’s toughest challenges. Register
online today at www.producedbyconference.com.
Early registrants have priority access to
individual sessions.
