SAFETY TASK FORCE MISSION STATEMENT

The Producer is ultimately responsible for the overall safety of their cast, crew and themselves on a production. It is the mission of the PGA Safety Task Force to empower producing team members to recognize and implement safe practices on film & television productions and to repair the disconnect between Producers and general production safety knowledge. The Safety Task Force will develop programs to educate producers in the regulations and responsibilities of protecting people, locations and equipment on their sets. In addition, by facilitating dialogues with experts in specialized and high hazard production departments and promoting safety information resources, producers will become a leading advocate for safe filmmaking practices in the motion picture and television industry. The Safety Task Force will work to establish and reinforce trust between the Producing Team and their cast and crews.

The PGA Safety Task Force is Co-Chaired by Melissa Friedman and Jen Haire
