LEVERAGING BEHIND-THE-SCENES AND BRANDED CONTENT FOR YOUR FILM

The creation of Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) and/or exclusive branded content is an area of the marketing and PR world in Hollywood that is experiencing radical adjustments. With the explosive growth of social media as a marketing tool,  the virtual disappearance of the DVD market and the rise of digital platform delivery, the use of this type of specialty content can be an effective mechanism in the promotion of a film or series and the development of ongoing audience support and enthusiasm before, during and after the life of the project.

This panel will discuss what is working and what needs to adjust in this field – producers that are creating independent projects can use these insights to effectively market and sell, producers working with a studio can better partner with internal marketing/PR teams and producers that create this content will develop a better understanding of the current needs of this evolving industry. This event will see a panel of studio marketing experts, branded content creators and PR experts discuss what is working in the industry right now to help film and series projects be seen above the competition. How are they leveraging BTS and exclusive branded content to attract an audience  and build loyalty with fans beyond the run of the project.

What makes great, effective content at this point? Moderators, Karen Somers and Jeffrey Lerner are award winning BTS/Branded Content producers with years of experience working with all the major studios. They will guide a conversation with our expert panel and the attending PGA members to foster a conversation that will help producers to better understand and leverage creative marketing content to capture and grow their audiences in a very competitive market.

Event Panelists include representatives from the studios specializing in PR/marketing, leading BTS/digital marketing executives that create branded content for many of the studios and digital platforms as well as PR experts that represent films, series and producers. Collectively, this panel is on the front lines of publicity and marketing. Their hardwon experience, insights and wisdom will prove invaluable for producers interested in beating their competition on every level. 

This event is free to PGA members plus one guest.

A light continental breakfast with coffee will be provided.

Parking: Enter through the Main gate to be directed by security for parking. Please bring photo I.D. to ensure entrance onto the lot.

Event Schedule: 

9 am – Event Begins With a Panel Discussion and ends with a Q&A.

10:30 am End of Panel Discussion/Beginning of Q&A with PGA members

11:30 End of Q&A and Panel Event - Begin Social Mixer for ½ hour as team cleans up

12 noon – Close the doors
