Windows On Series: Current Opportunities for
Producing Muslim Content, Here and Abroad

When:

Monday, August 24th

3:00 p.m. PDT | 6:00 p.m. EDT

Muslims represent a worldwide media audience of 1.8 billion people, nearly ¼ of the earth’s population. For decades Muslims had been portrayed as terrorists or other misinformed stereotypes but the tides are turning and now more authentic depictions are showing that all of humanity has more in common than it has divisions. Our panel of experienced Muslim producers will share their experience in telling authentic Muslim stories from concept to script to screen while collaborating with studios, networks, writers, directors, and other creatives who may be unfamiliar with Muslim narratives. We will find out what these producers are working on, and what the see as the current opportunities available for enterprising US producers.
