This seminar presents an extraordinary opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the numerous HD camera technologies and how they affect the production and post-production processes. It's not a technical seminar, but an overview of the pros and cons of select cameras. Not to be missed!

We will look at 7 cameras in 3 major test categories:

• Panasonic AF100, Panasonic 3700, Panasonic HPX-170, Sony EX3, Canon 5D, Canon 7D and the Red One MX

Test Categories:
• Depth of field (multiple lenses)
• Green screen/Ease of key
• Light sensitivity (Gain vs Noise with rising ISO levels)

• Camera limitations and field points to consider

Panelists Include: 

Kevin Hackenberg 
Kevin jumpstarted his career on films like "The Sixth Sense” and "Unbreakable” and recently crafted shots for the film "Happy Tears” and shot visual FX elements for "The Last AirBender." Kevin also works in television and internet commercial advertising with worldwide brands like Nike, Pepsi and Puma. With his production company Get-Kinetic, Kevin helps clients and filmmakers produce projects script to screen. 

Paul Hazlett 
Paul has worked in the industry over 25 years and in many different capacities including feature work from getting coffee to director of photography for large multi camera productions. He is the owner of Red one, Hpx 3700, HDX 900, SDX900, Betacam DXCD50 and AF100. He has worked for most major networks and production companies in the Philadelphia area. 

Chris Landy 
Chris is a Director/Director of Photography and owner Aperture Pictures and Post, Inc based in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts and has worked for over 25 years Director/DP/Gaffer in both film and video. Chris has photographed for HBO, NFL FIlms, BBC, Frontline, Smithsonian Discovery, History Channel and has worked internationally in Africa, Asia and Europe. 

Howard McCabe 
Howard is the Founder and Principal Creative Director at Blue Visual, a full service production house. He has directed and lead post production for major networks and shows, including the Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern” and its new series "International Open House.” He edits on the Flame/Inferno for HD/Film Rez Compositing/design/vfx and Smoke system for HD/SD finishing and color correction. For the past 4 years, he has served as a judge for the BDA's. 

Kevin Ritchie 
Kevin Ritchie is a lighting cameraman and video editor who has a passion for the technical side of filmmaking. Shooting on various formats over the last decade, Kevin became an early adopter of the DSLR camera format. His experience includes shooting and editing corporate films, documentaries, and commercials for clients across diverse industries. Kevin is also member of the production collective Do Work Creative. 

Jill Kaiser – seminar producer and moderator 
Jill Kaiser is an Executive Producer for corporate communications and reality-based productions, with broadcast credits including programming for the Style network, EquatorHD, The History Channel, A&E, The Health Network, and PBS. Jill line produced Class Act, a documentary with Morgan Spurlock focusing on the importance of art education in the classroom. She also develops and pitches reality based programming, internal and external marketing oriented communications for corporate clients.
