Most producers know it’s important to collaborate with your DP from the start of a project.  But how do you pick a look for your project?  What sets it apart from the rest?  In this advanced master class, we’ll go beyond the basics of three-point lighting and ENG style shooting into the world of lighting artistry.

In the first half of the evening, Emmy-award winning Director of Photography Thomas Kaufman will explore the ways a DP can help set the tone for your film.  How can the use of color, lighting, composition, and the use of visual space create impact?  The second half of class will be hands-on, as you'll learn how to apply what was discussed. In this open forum, no question is wrong as we engage in a lively dialogue among participants.
