Los Angeles (May 26, 2010) – The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that dozens of Hollywood’s most successful and prominent producers will serve as mentors during special Mentoring Roundtable sessions at the second annual Produced By Conference (PBC) June 4-6, 2010 at 20th Century Fox Studios. Reaching across film, television and new media industries, PBC is a rare educational forum with over 30 conference sessions designed to provide all producers with valuable career tools and insights necessary in today’s competitive marketplace. The annual event features an extraordinary program of esteemed speakers, seminars, networking opportunities, social events and exhibitors. Last year’s sold out event attracted more than 1,200 people.

"This is a-once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for burgeoning storytellers to interact and learn from some of today’s top producers in an intimate setting,” said Gale Anne Hurd and Rachel Klein, PBC event co-chairs. "These forums are fun for everyone and certainly one of the high points of the Produced By conference. There are countless candid conversations, ideas debated and experiences shared.”

Dozens of successful film, television and new media producers, most of whom are serving as featured Conference speakers, will be on hand to answer any and all questions from aspiring producers. Confirmed mentors to-date include Bonnie Arnold ("How to Train Your Dragon,” "The Last Station,” "Toy Story”), Bruce Cohen ("American Beauty,” "Milk”), Lee Daniels ("Precious, Based on the Novel 'Push' by Saffire,” "The Woodsman,” "Monster's Ball”), Dean Devlin ("Independence Day,” "The Patriot”), David Eick ("Caprica,” "Battlestar Galactica,” "Bionic Woman”), Tim Gibbons ("Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Mark Gordon ("2012,” "The Day After Tomorrow,” "Saving Private Ryan,” "Grey’s Anatomy”), Jeff Gomez ("Avatar,” "Pirates of the Caribbean”), Sarah Green ("Tree of Life”), Charlie Haykel (61st Primetime Emmy Awards, Super Bowl 39 & 40 Halftime Shows), Marshall Herskovitz ("Blood Diamond,” "The Last Samurai”), David Hill (Chairman and CEO of Fox Sports), Jon Jashni ("Clash of the Titans,” "Where the Wild Things Are,” "The Hangover”), Mark Johnson ("The Chronicles of Narnia”), Hawk Koch ("Primal Fear,” "Heaven Can Wait”), Ali LeRoi ("Are We There Yet?”, "Everybody Hates Chris”), Gary Lucchesi ("Underworld” franchise), Don Mischer ("We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial,” Centennial Olympic Games: Opening Ceremonies at Atlanta, XIX Winter Olympics: Opening Ceremonies at Salt Lake City), Chris Paine ("Revenge of the Electric Car,” "Who Killed the Electric Car,” "Faster”), Jane Rosenthal ("Meet the Fockers 1, 2,” "What Just Happened,” "The Good Shepherd”), Charles Roven ("The Dark Knight,” "Get Smart,” "The Bank Job”), Cathy Schulman (President, Mandalay Pictures, "Crash,” "Darfur Now,” "Salvation Boulevard”), Paula Wagner ("Mission: Impossible I, II, III,” "Vanilla Sky,” "The Others”) and Richard D. Zanuck ("Jaws,” "Driving Miss Daisy,” "Alice in Wonderland”).

The Producers Guild is also launching the Producers Wiki, a collaborative online project, which they hope will serve as a valuable interactive knowledge base about producing. "The Producers WIKI ‘Live’– Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Producing But Didn’t Know Who To Ask,” will be a live session moderated by Vance Van Petten, PGA Executive Director. Participating producers include Bonnie Arnold, Fred Baron (Executive Vice President of Production, 20th Century Fox), Tim Gibbons, Hawk Koch, Lori McCreary (CEO, Revelations Entertainment, producer "Invictus”), Cathy Schulman and Screech Washington ("Amazing Race”). Utilizing the PGA’s website as an interactive tool, members can resource each other for production advice, information, job references, and more.

Mentoring Roundtables were one of the most popular and successful features of last year’s event. Don’t miss out, register online today at Roundtables take place concurrently with other Conference sessions.
